Black vs. White at Robert Lange Studios

This was an awesome show and I am so happy that I was able to be a part of it. People poured in even though it was a torrential downpour. The show will be up until Feb. 28th so if you couldn't make it to the opening be sure to check it out at Robert Lange Studios, 2 Queen St. Charleston, SC.

Belated Christmas Gift

This is a pillow I made for my mom for Christmas. I forgot to photograph before I sent it off so I had to wait until I was at her house in Charlotte. Its linen, raw and white, and all hand embroidered. Hummingbirds remind me of being in the South and hanging out on the porch on a humid afternoon in June. Oh how I miss it. Even though we have hummingbirds here in Nevada, it just isn't the same.

Kit Fox

Next month I will be showing some of my artwork in the Black Vs. White show at Robert Lange Studios in Charleston. The premise of the show is to create two pieces of art that are the same size, similar imagery and theme with one being dominated by white and the other by black. This is the white piece from start to finish. Every piece if fabric is appliquéd together to make one surface.

Christmas Presents!

I made these sachets for friends and family this Christmas. I used raw linen and fresh, organic lavender buds to fill the sachets. The scent is intoxicating. My house smelled amazing for the month of December.

This is a hair piece that I made for my friend Sarah. The rosette is made of organza and I used micro-suede for the leaves.
