Justin and I went up to Valley of Fire state park last weekend. I wanted to find some dead Buckhorn Cholla (a type of cactus that is all over the Mojave) for a series that I am going to be working on over the next couple of weeks. When they die they leave behind this really intricate wood skeleton. I am going to be working on a painting using this imagery and also some pieces using fiber.
Painting and sewing is what I do, sometimes either/or or a little of both. I am constantly influenced by daily encounters, my travels, including moving from the east coast to the desert.
All of my work is for sale and if you have any interest feel free to email me.
